One of our favorite places to visit in Jefferson County is, you guessed it, the Mossback Distillery in nearby Jefferson City. The distillery is a somewhat-unassuming establishment located on W Old Andrew Johnson Hwy that produces top quality Tennessee spirits and maintains a “tasting house” and cocktail lounge on the establishment for visitors to sample and enjoy their products.
The distillery offers moonshine, gin, vodka, American straight whiskey, pecan praline bourbon, brown sugar bourbon, coffee liqueur and an officially licensed The Lord of the Rings™ wheated whiskey. The Battery House offers drinks of the same as well as cocktails like Apple Bourbon Smash, Blackberry Nouveau, Chocolate Martini, Pink Dragon Vodka, straight coffees, “mocktails” and soft drinks and hot chocolates for designated drivers. We have frequently enjoyed relaxing afternoons and evenings in their cocktail lounge with company and we believe you would as well!
